Hybrid Cricket Pitch Covers

Bio-cell offers the first hybrid cricket pitch covering solution. Combining our unique capabilities and technology we have developed a waterproof ground cover that combines the benefits of both flat and raised ground covers. Made from the same unique fabric as The Climate Cover System, the pitch cover system can be used as either a flat sheet or inflatable raised cover. As a flat sheet, Bio-cell offers an easy to handle cricket pitch cover solution that allows air and nearly 60% of UV light to pass through the cover, whilst remaining 100% waterproof. This means the cover can be used for long periods of time without damaging the plant or risking quality of playing surface.

Bio-cell is engineered for use as a low pressure inflatable structure, suitable for long-term pitch covering. The system inflates via a high volume blower to form a raised dome over your cricket, tennis or winter games pitch. As a low pressure structure, air is constantly blown into the cover resulting in a constant airflow onto the surface, which in turn reduces pitch drying time especially for cricket pitches. The temperature of blown air can be controlled, enabling you to generate the right climatic conditions for the plant. The raised dome profile prevents water from ponding on the cover and pitch area.

Once the raised cover is no longer needed, it deflates to a flat sheet and can be handled and stored with ease.
