Mobile Pitch Covers

Designed specifically to cover cricket pitches, the Climate Cover Mobile Pitch Cover offers flexibility and value for money like no other raised cover solution. The new ultra-strong apex design is designed to keep the rain off the pitch.

Mobile Pitch Cover offers a choice between a translucent cover and blackout cover to help you address the specific pitch preparation needs at any time. These two cover options work together to reduce the time required to prepare a pitch for play.

Our translucent cover is made from a translucent PVC 530 g per m2. It allows the UV light to pass through the cover, helping to raise the ground temperature, aiding plant growth and speeding up pitch drying during wet periods.

Our traditional cover is made in blue PVC 610 gram per m2 and prevents the sunlight from passing through the cover to stop the surface from drying out too quickly.

The covers are easily changed and fold flat for easy handling and storage. An evolved design means the covers can be self assembled or dismantled within a couple of hours, allowing easy storage in the winter months.

Cover features

• Each unit is 24ft  by 13ft   (7.31 m x 4 m) and is made from 1.6 mm galvanised steel
• Height to top of apex  3ft 6” (1.1 m), height off the ground 260 mm
• The apex is constructed using 25 mm galvanised steel tubing plus with upright supports
• Super lightweight Per Unit weight: 728lbs (330 kg), including waterproof cover
• Four wheels per unit, 200 m diameter pneumatic, two fixed & two swivel. Spare wheels & tyres are available of request
• Gutters are made from one piece of galvanised folded steel with water outlet at each end & are attached with a ‘Geka’ coupling
• Waterproof cover tops are hemmed & eyeleted. Each waterproof cover is attached to the steel structure using bungee cord
• Each unit comes with 3/4” ‘Tricoflex’ multipurpose hose and an assortment of ‘Geka’ couplings. Additional hose is available on request
• One Year Manufactures warranty and a Life time guarantee on steel work

We also offer a number of options to the standard features described above:

• Outlet connection system: for squares on a slope, each side gutter can be connected so that water can be discharged from one side only
• Towing system: multiple units can be connected enabling units to be moved together
• Wheel brakes: to prevent the unit moving in strong winds the swivel wheels can be locked
• Side sheet connection system: enabling flat sheets to be connected to each side of the cover, to catch all water. This system feature is compatible with any Climate Cover flat sheet, i.e. Climate Cover SystemTM or Rain Cover
• Replacements cover for old structures can be made and spare parts on request
• Self assembly or engineers will install on site
• Bespoke covers can be made to your specific requirements
